Objective:
This ceremony is focused on aligning your energy with the 4/4 portal, which represents balance, clarity, direction, and renewal. It is an ideal moment to restore order in your life, plant new intentions, and create harmony in your environment without generating waste or environmental impact.
Necessary items:
A clean, well-ventilated space, ideally with natural light.
A plant, fresh flower, or twig found in your surroundings (wood element).
A bowl of clean water (water element).
A stone, crystal, or a handful of coarse salt (earth element).
A small metal object (a spoon, bell, ring, or ornament).
Recycled paper and a pencil or pen.
Natural seeds, petals, or rice (ideally reused or compostable).
Your voice, your presence, and your breath as central tools.
Prior preparation:
Clean the space you will use, but also take a moment to tidy up a corner of your home that has been stagnant: a drawer, a shelf, a bag with accumulated items. By doing so, you are manifesting order within yourself as well.
You can place the five elements on a table or simple surface, like a symbolic altar that represents the balance of life.
Beginning of the ceremony (approximately 30 minutes):
Opening the space
Sit in front of the natural elements you have chosen. Tap your metal object three times (it can be a bowl, a small spoon, or even a stone against metal) to symbolically mark the beginning of the moment.
Take a deep breath and repeat:
“I open this space to reconnect with myself, with my path, and with the energy that sustains me. I allow myself to be present, in balance, and with purpose.”
Rooting meditation
Close your eyes and sit comfortably. Breathe consciously, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Visualise each inhale filling you with calm, and each exhale releasing what you no longer need. Imagine roots extending from your feet and connecting you to the earth.
Intention declaration
Write your intention for this new cycle on the recycled paper. You can use this phrase as a guide:
“Today, the 4th of April, I plant the seeds of inner order, clarity in my thoughts, and harmony in my surroundings. I open myself to receive all that contributes to my balance and well-being.”
Read your intention aloud. If you prefer, you can also express it through a drawing or symbol.
Symbolic offering and intention planting
Place the seeds, petals, or rice in a bowl, and as you do, repeat:
“I offer this planting as a symbol of my commitment to conscious growth, to respect for life, and to expansion in harmony with my surroundings.”
If you have a plant or a pot, you can place the seeds or petals on the soil to return them to a natural cycle. Alternatively, you can save them for composting later.
Personal renewal act
Find a small object that represents a phase, habit, or energy you wish to release. There is no need to throw it away—simply move it away from the altar as a gesture of closure. Then, place something new or meaningful in its place (it could be the paper with your intention, a stone you have found, or a leaf). This gesture symbolises making space for the new.
Closing
Give thanks in your own words, from the heart. You might say:
“I give thanks to life, to time, to my awareness, and to the space that surrounds me. May this seed grow in the form of clarity, harmony, and purpose in my daily life.”
Tap your metal object three times again to mark the closing of the ceremony. Keep your written intention somewhere visible or carry it with you.
Additional recommendations:
Wear colours such as green (connection with life) or white (order and clarity).
Drink water mindfully after the ceremony.
Keep your space tidy throughout the day as part of integrating the process.
If you go for a walk, pay attention to the trees, the wind, and natural sounds. That too is a ceremony.
